3D Ring

These plugins were made for my personnal use and are based on a three height levels fixed layout. The 57 channels versions use a convoluted channels mapping initially based on the cinema ones, whereas the 59 channels ones are base on a more-logical organization. Thanks to the Ring57-59 Converter you can use all of them equally since the only difference is the bottom layer to have a 10 channels external ring instead of only 8 channels in the "57" versions..
The channels are thus organized both to be simpler to use and to provide a direct compatibility with the sphere based layouts (that can be used with 7th order ambisonics). They follow a clockwise order, begining at the Nord-West angle :
- 1-10 : bottom external ring
- 11-26 : middle external ring
- 27-38 : top external ring + 39-45 : top internal ring and center
- 46-54 : bottom internal ring and center
- 55-59 : middle internal ring and center
Channels from 1 to 45 result in a dome (or from 11 to 45 if you don't use the bottom ring), adding channels 46 to 54 makes a full pseudo-sphere, and the last 55 to 59 close the small internal dome (14 channels) to provide a complete 3D network.
This arrangement is also of course suitable for the 3D cinema layouts via an appropriate mapping.
You will find two patches plugins in the x64 section that can help to use them with other spatial layouts.

Linear movements along an up to 32 steps path, among a three height levels Ring layout :
- two animation modes : keyboard and waveform
- in keyboard mode each key can correspond to one of the 32 steps
- in waveform mode you define the shape, the rate and the range of the exploration
- in both modes a smooth/inertia setting allows to obtain sharp or slow movements between the steps
- the paths are saved in a separate memory for easy recall

Based on the Freeverb, all the channels are fully independant.
Modes Reverbe Inside / Outside : the focus center position determines the highest or lowest reverb mix zone, whereas its size determines how the mix changes (less or more) up to its outside.
According to these to parameters, you can have from one single point with reverb to one single point without reverb.
Since they can be changed and automated you can make interesting moving reverberated zones, for example to follow some object path or to make sound differently only some places.

Separation of two input channels into four frequency bands that can be further delayed and reverberated individually, and placed inside the outputs channels space :
- 4 crossover filters for each input, with gain and mute setting
- 8 delais with independant time and feedback settings plus global time
- 8 Freeverb based reverberations channels, with independant size and mix settings plus global size
- free space position of the 8 processed channels

- each frequency and amplitude is driven by the distance berween the "focus ball" position and the oscillators/speakers points, according to the Area size, its curve, and the other settings
- Inertia setting to obtain sharp pitch variations or very slow glissandi
- the Area size can be as small as a few pixels, allowing to cut the sound in small pieces or as wide as the whole space

It replaces the traditionnal samples source with an audio external one.
The main purpose is to add a space mass control to stereo instruments that are played together.

The same idea than the previous one, but firstly it process the mono input with a SpectraSplitter module to feed the eight filtered bands to a SpatMass like section.

Two patches plugins to help to use the Ring59 series (32 bits) with other speakers layouts.
The idea is to provide an easy way to use their three height levels with different channels numbers, up to 19 / 21 / 19 per level (alas, the numbers labels in the plugins will not reflect these connections).
The wired patch system may not be the fastest to set but it is very efficient and will not impact the CPU.
